Level 1 BCI Teleparenting Support Course

Overview: The Level 1 BCI Teleparenting Course is taught over a 4 week period through our friends at the Consciously Parenting Project. Students are connected together over a conference line to be instructed in the privacy of their own homes. Course includes 6 hours of attachment/trauma education by a BCI Certified Instructor in a virtual classroom which incorporates a powerful powerpoint presentation. Class sizes are very small in order to give each student the opportunity for more personal attention and support. Over the course of the classes students will really get to know one another and begin to feel very close and connected to the group. This connection and satisfaction will carry over into your homes as you begin to build a stronger relationship with your child. Course will include basic knowledge of the 4 main principles taught in the book Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control. These include the Stress Model, primary emotions love and fear, repetitious conditioning, and neuro-physiological feedback loops. Between classes students will have access to a private forum for ongoing discussion of class topics as well as unlimited email support from your instructor. You will also be given hands-on homework to help you begin applying the principles inside your own home.
Prerequisite: Purchase of BCLC and reading the 1st 5 chapters.

Level 1.5 BCI Teleparenting Support Course

Overview: Our Level 1.5 Teleparenting class is a continuation of our Level 1 course and is also taught with our friends on the Consciously Parenting Project. During the Level 1.5 course we will continue to work our way through the book Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control. Over a 6 week period we will cover chapters 6 - 10, which will take us through very specific behaviors and allow us to view these behaviors through the perspective of the Family Stress Model. We will begin to see these behaviors as fear states and, together as a group, we will work out typical scenarios that might be happening inside your own home. Although this course is not designed to be a "techniques" class, you will be given tools and words to help guide you through your daily interactions with your children.
Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1 (either teleparenting or in-person).

Beyond Consequences Institute 10-week Parenting Class
Registration CLOSED.
Overview: This 10-week course, offered by the counseling agency Life Strategies, introduces parents and professionals to the love-based principles found in the book Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control. Over the course of the class, students will begin to understand a new way to parent their children, a way that begins reaching their hearts instead of focusing on their behaviors.
Prerequisite: Purchase of the book Beyond Consequences, Logic, and Control.
